People visit your site and make a purchase. One of the worst things you can do to them is leave them hanging. The transaction is completed, you got their dollars and they end up sitting there wondering if everything is OK. Let them know all is well.

In the PayPal code there is a hidden item that directs the customer to a THANK YOU Page after the transaction is successful:

<input type="hidden" name="return" value="http://www.yoursite.com/thankyou.html">

Make sure to create a Thank You Page they can be directed to. It does not have to be anything complex but should thank them and confirm they will be receiving a confirmation of their order from PayPal. Also include a means of contact with you if they have any questions even if just your E-Mail address. Also include a menu of your site so they can relocate within your WebSite and continue their visit - and maybe buy something else!

A simple Thank You Page could look like THIS.
